ODM Bag Development On Atelier Silhouettes
If you do not have a tech pack yet, ODM is the faster route: pick one of 27 atelier silhouettes and re-skin it with your own embroidery motif, dye palette, lining and hardware. You get a retail-ready product in weeks instead of months, at the same 50-piece MOQ.
As an ODM bag manufacturer we own the pattern, the mould and the sample library, so you are not paying for development you cannot reuse. The same silhouette can be re-cut for a second season with a different motif.

The 27 atelier silhouettes
Eight embroidered canvas silhouettes, eight hand-woven silhouettes and eight mixed-media constructions. Browse the collections and tell us which base you want to re-skin.
- Embroidered canvas — Suzani tote, French tambour clutch, cross-stitch pouch, flat-embroidery shoulder bag and more.
- Hand-woven — rattan circle bag, sea grass flat tote, bamboo geometric bucket, cotton-rope knot tote, raffia crescent and more.
- Mixed media — an embroidered panel joined to a woven body with our bound-edge and reverse-lockstitch engineering.
Working from an atelier silhouette
ODM removes the one step that usually eats a season: pattern development. You choose a silhouette the atelier already cuts, then re-skin it. Motif, embroidery technique, thread palette, lining, hardware finish, strap construction, dimensions and label programme all change; only the pattern block stays. A first physical sample therefore lands in about ten days instead of six weeks.
The trade-off is exclusivity of shape. The silhouette stays in the atelier library, so we do not cut the same motif and colourway combination for another brand. If you need the shape itself to be yours alone, the programme should start as OEM instead.
One practical note on timing: because the pattern block already exists, the ten-day figure starts from approved artwork, not from the first conversation. Briefs that arrive with the motif, the target quantity and the in-store date in the same message are usually sampling inside a week.
Quick Answers: MOQ, Sampling & Lead Times
Short, self-contained answers to the questions buyers ask most about this programme.
- How far can we change one of your silhouettes?
- Every visible surface: motif, embroidery technique, thread palette, lining colour, hardware finish, strap and handle construction, dimensions within the block, and the whole label and packaging programme. What stays fixed is the pattern block underneath.
- Is an ODM design exclusive to us?
- The colourway and motif combination you commission is exclusive for as long as the style is in your range. The underlying silhouette is shared atelier library, which is why an ODM first order costs a fraction of a ground-up pattern development.
- What if we only have a moodboard?
- That is enough to start. Send the moodboard with two or three reference bags and we return sketches on two or three existing silhouettes, with the embroidery mapped onto each so you can see how the motif lands before any sampling budget is committed.
- Can we move from ODM to OEM later?
- Yes, and it is a common progression once the shape is proven and selling. We migrate the pattern block into your OEM file, so later development runs on your own artwork and you stop paying for a shared library.
Production & Customization FAQ
Do I need to send design files for ODM?
No. Choose a silhouette, send your logo artwork and any colour direction, and we develop from there. A tech pack is only needed if you want full OEM control.
Is the silhouette exclusive to me after customisation?
Your customised version, your moulds and your embroidery files are exclusive to you and are never reused for other clients.
Can you match my brand colours exactly?
Send Pantone TCX/TPX references. We produce lab dips before bulk so the colour is agreed in writing, and note that botanical dyes carry natural batch variation.
